Repairing Braun OralB Plaque Remover toothbrush.

Anyone have theirs break? It just stopped working one day, and I had to move that brush inside my mouth myself 🙁

Anyways, it looks like a switch, a bunch of caps and resistors, one FET, an LED (working), and twin JK flops, ow which only one is used probably implementing a state machine that turns the brush on and off. Anyways, can anyone give me some pointers on how to troubleshoot/repair this brush. I can do a little microsoldering.

destroyed two so far.. design is slightly lousy, lets water and goop seep in too easily. my current one is only working smoothly cuz i opened it and flushed goop and sediment or whatever out of the gears. gross.

<< They sell these for 40+ bucks. frankly, there is about $2 of parts that I see here aside from battery and motor. >>

Fine profit margins...I thought they were $10, excuse me.

I killed it 🙂 I couldn't get the dam cap off the bottom, so I slammed it down hard, and the circuit board cracked 🙁
