Question repairing a Logitech Trackman marble trackball?

I bought several Logitech Trackman marble wheel trackballs when I heard they were changing models a number of years back.

I thought I had used them all up over the years, since I checked my mouse/trackball drawer, & they all were gone. However, it turns out that my kids
got it out and had put it on a shelf in the basement for some reason.

In any case, I hooked it up & tested it, and the main microswitch doesn't seem to be functioning, effectively making the trackball useless.

Is this a simple fix, or should I just throw away the otherwise functional USB trackball?

Thanks for suggestions!

Besides even if it doesn't fix it, attempting to fix it really shouldn't cost much as you should probably have the soldering tools (or should invest in them). The switches are pretty cheap ($2-3 and probably just as much in shipping).
