Repairing a busted mobo socket

I just killed the socket on my Epox 8kha+ trying to seal it for use with a peltier (please no sarcastic comments, this was a very sad experience for me) I got some of the conformal coating under the sliding part (part that slides when you pull the lever to lock the CPU in place) so it stuck to the actual socket on the mobo. It was solid as a rock so I eventually tried to pry it off and half of the sliding part snapped, so I yanked the other part off and went to get a drink, pondering my loss.

The part of the socket that is actually attached to the board is in good condition, just the sliding part is missing. What I'm wondering is whether or not it would be possible to pull the sliding part off of another socket A mobo and attach it to my 8kha+?

Sorry for the poor descriptions.
