Is it feasible to get the glass from ebay and fix myself? Unlike other cracked phones I"ve seen (iPhone), it doesn't work at all with the cracked glass.
It is doable, but it is not easy but it is easy to mess something up (crack LCD, damage the ribbon cable, scratch the LCD).
If you like doing this sort of stuff then sure give it a try, wont cost you much.
You have to make sure the current LCD and the digitizer still works perfectly, and I hope you are comfortable with a heat gun or an oven to separate the broken glass out from the rest of the screen.

I did the screen on the Nexus 4's sister, the optimus G. After watching several videos trying to decide between the digitizer alone or the entire lcd I just went with the whole lcd. I'm sure that with repetition comes confidence, but it just seemed like there were too many ways for that the procedure could go wrong and the lcd to be ruined in the process.
