Repair broken plastic

The very hard plastic on my stroller's canopy snapped, and I'd like to repair it if possible. The part does have to bear constant tension, so I'm not hopeful, but I think this is the place to get my answer.

I would see if you can get a replacement part from the manufacturer. If not, I would look at a two-part epoxy. Something like 3M 04240 or 04247 might work, but keep in mind you'll want to have proper protection and cleanup equipment handy. It's pretty serious stuff.

My unprofessional opinion: with just epoxy, it's not going to be nearly as strong as it was. I'd probably put a couple of screws or metal rods into it too.

I would epoxy it. Epoxy it back together, and let dry. Then fill the slots on both sides with the epoxy. This should be stronger than the original part.
