First because this "investigation" is a very lightly window dressed political abortion designed to raise money and second because he said he wouldn't raise money on Benghazi which he is helping to do merely by participating. I'm not saying he should resign from Congress...just decline to participate in a cynical sham proceeding that does not serve the public interest (you know...that thing he's actually there to do).

If Gowdy himself sends out solicitations for contributions based on this hearing some of those here would have a point. But he has no control over the 527 thus no responsibility.
