reommendation for recovering data from a crashed drive

My drive failed today and I tried to run PC Inspector File Recovery and GetDataBack Dat recovery and both of them give me an error code 121. Any recommendation on other data recovery software I can try before sending the drive back to Maxtor for RMA.

As recommended, I ran File Scavenger for over 15 hrs now and it is still running (according to task manager and not shown as not rsponding) and still at 0%. Any other recommendations is appreciated.....
