Renting Cars from Private Sellers

I'm heading to Fort Myers, FL in a few weeks and just got done checking all the car rental places. They are charging around $90 a day for the budget car. I was thinking, why couldn't you rent a car from a private seller for a week for a lot less cash and they get free advertising out of it. I would be covered under my insurance so it would be theoretically safe for them.

Just pulled up budget.com from Jan 3rd - 9th for the intermediate (pontiac G6 or similar) for $370 after taxes thats about $62\day.

You're a happy guy, if you don't like the topic don't read it or post to it

Top Gear tried that. They bought cars, drove them for a week, then decided not to sell them 🙂

Just don't put a fricken dead cow on the roof!

I saw that episode, I don't want to go through the process of trying to sell it though. I just want to get a cheap car for the week.

what's the difference between this and enterprise?
enterprise can be cheaper if you get like a cavalier, or is it a cobalt now.

Enterprise has always been one of the most expensive options when I was looking for a rental. *shrugs*
