Renter's Insurance... go to a local agent, or..?

My car insurance offered it (State Farm) very reasonable and only raised my yearly cost by like $100, I think less actually.

call your car insurance place, they either offer it directly, or will have an afiliate to send you to

I'm thinking about getting rid of my agent and just doing everything online directly. They are middle-men and charge too much.

My car insurance is through them and I have Progressive, it's $770. But when I quote it on Progressive's website I get $530. My agent sucks.

just tell your agent that you are finding it online for less.. I'm sure that your agent can match the website's price. Either way, i would recommend getting renters insurance through the same agent or company that your auto is with. You'll get a multi-line discount and the savings itself will pay for the renters insurance in most cases.

I can try that. I waas thinking of doing it all with Geico online. My car insurance is a lot cheaper from their quote.
