why are you renting a tv for a couple of months?

1. Can't afford to buy.
2. Does not have good enough credit to finance.
3. Wants to see if it will be a worthwhile investment before making the commitment.
4. What difference does it make to you or I?

1. If you don't have enough money to buy one (or if your credit sucks too bad to finance one), you shouldn't be renting one.
2. Those rent-to-own places are huge scam artists that prey on the poor and/or dull-witted.

not renting to own. I'm renting to rent.

Although I'm interested as to why anyone would rent a TV for a couple of months, I'm now far more curious why IceBergSlim is being so incredibly defensive about it. You want answers, answer their questions, bro. Turtling up and getting all pissy because they asked isn't gonna help.

They seem to be ok.
I have a sister that uses them.
You probably already know that you will pay double/triple what retail is.

Only good part about them has been that she had a tv go bad and they replaced it with a new one.

He wants an answer to a question that has nothing to do with why he should be renting a tv or not. It's not our decision and why can't people just have a little respect and either answer his original question or tell him they have no idea instead of prying into whatever he's doing.

I have a 55 inch tv in my condo. I am not getting it into my apartment for 2-3 months as I'm giving the tenants time to get there own tv. In the mean time I have no tv. and I'm fiending for halo 3 on xbl. Satisfactory?

I think we should dig deep and question WHY. This is serious business.

edit: that explanation is satisfactory. you may continue with the thread.

Look, I don't appreciate being addressed by that term.

So, why are you renting a tv for a couple of months?

4. What difference does it make to you or I?

What moran came up with that answer???????

Probably a moranic looknig. 😀

Moranic Looknigs are good people.

Why rent a TV for a couple of months? By the time you are "done" renting the TV, you will have more than paid for it. When those months are over, you aren't going to want to give up the tv and you'll be out $XXX dollars because you couldn't save your money.

BTW, I purchased a bed through rent-a-center because my father thought it would be a good idea. They had a 90 day same as cash policy. When I tried to pay it off BEFORE the 90 days, they panicked because they woudn't get any more money out of me. Long story short, I ended up paying $1000, for a $200 bed...worst investment of my life. Do NOT rent to rent personal items, or rent to buy...period.

250 for 2 months != the cost of a Big screen HDTV.
