Renowned author: Obama wants military leaders who will fire on U.S. citizens

On Monday, Dr. Jim Garrow, a renowned author and humanitarian who was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, sparked a firestorm of controversy when he wrote on Facebook that President Obama wants military leaders who will fire on U.S. citizens. In an exclusive interview with Examiner.com, Dr. Garrow said the man who told him this is a military hero who is known by everybody in the country.

"I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new 'litmus test' in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks," he wrote.

"The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not," the unnamed military officer reportedly said. Dr. Garrow also wrote that those who do not meet this litmus test are being removed.

On Tuesday, Dr. Garrow said that officers who know about this cannot come forward without endangering themselves and facing possible retaliation from the administration.

According to Dr. Garrow, the officer who made the allegation learned about the litmus test from the person who got him interested in military service. That person, Dr. Garrow added, was forced out for failing to meet the criteria.

Dr. Garrow said he promised to keep the officer's name from the public, adding that he stands behind what he was told regardless of the consequences.

"I would stake my full reputation on this gentleman," he said.

"If people want to throw things at me, fine," he added, calling it "an honor" to come under fire for keeping his promise to the officer.

Dr. Garrow told Examiner that there are people in the administration who are paid to "attack those who raise doubts" about anyone who criticizes the Obama administration.

As numerous sites have mentioned, Dr. Garrow is no conspiracy theorist or "random crackpot on Facebook." Not only is he the author of "The Pink Pagoda: One Man’s Quest to End Gendercide in China," he is a highly-regarded human rights activist who has rescued thousands of young girls from certain death in China and currently owns over 250 schools in that country.

Examiner's Dave Gibson said the shocking claim comes on the heels of a Washington Free Beacon report that says Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis will leave his post as Commanding General of Central Command in March, several months earlier than anticipated.

I kinda find this hard to believe. Although if names are released then this could break open. You know the moment that any kind of gun grab it would be a blood bath. So I have to ask. What if the statement is true? Not in the sense of being literal but to find out how loyal they are? Still an odd thing to ask a soldier who enlisted to protect us am I right?

This is the same obama that supported the Patriot Act and NDAA along with the assassination of Awlaki. I would not be surprised if he were to do this cowardly act

I've never heard of this guy and when I google him he doesn't even have a wiki page.

What I did find is "Nomination forms are sent by the Nobel Committee to about 3000 individuals"

on wiki, so being nominated is really not that elite.

My honest conclusion at this point is that in the absence of anything from the horse's mouth (the military guy he's talking about), this claim is horse shit. Gives him free publicity for his recent book and no onus of him to ever put up or shut up because he can say he's being discreet by not releasing the name.

I am willing to stake my reputation on having impregnated one of Hollywood's A-list actresses. And trust me, you all know her. I am not going to say who, though, as I respect her privacy. But, just trust me, for serious, it happened.

This is your standard Bullshit publicity stunt. A few things to point out here:

- incorruptible agrees with it
- he swears he will never release a name
- he is practically unheard of
- on the heels of the inauguration
- guns are a huge debate atm

He is trying desperately to get attention from low IQ individuals (Republicans) and will in short time publish a book.

What he is ensenuating is that President Obama will use the military to confiscate firearms.

The only General everyone knows is Powell or Petraeus, your average citizen does not know who the Joint Chiefs are and they certainly do not know McChrystal unless they have a Rolling Stone subscription.

Powell is an Obama supporter so that leaves David Petraeus. Considering he current situation I very seriously doubt he would want to do anything else to jeopardize his status (what's left) most certainly not with a no name.

Uhhh, this isn't in his power anyway. The president cannot ask the armed forces to act within the US. The only time that's happened in the last 100 years is with the "Little Rock Nine" with the 101st escorting them on Eisenhower's order.

And everyone in the military gets asked that, the part that says "all enemies, foreign and domestic". If there was a group of crazed liberals killing mass amounts of Republican citizens to over throw our current form of government for socialism and the police and Leo's were too chicken shit to deal with them and I got orders to go handle it I'd go take care of it and I'd be back before supper.

Or vice versa with Republicans.

This isn't Watergate anymore, you have to reveal sources nowadays to be credible.

For what it's worth I think it should be a fairly common question to ask. With the tumultuous times you never know what could happen if the right people get incited. Look at the whiskey rebellion, if Washington had military leaders that hesitated to kill American citizens, we wouldn't have lasted past our first few decades as a nation.

There are times when citizens constructively revoke their due process rights, Awlaki is a recent example, and in the future there may be more.
