I tried for this once but they wouldn't give it to me. Called again and the CSR was extremely friendly and gave it to me - no problem. So it definitely depends on the CSR, keep trying!
I used this promo code ZWINBACK.

For $60 bucks, I'm in, but I'm too lazy to go outside to get number for my car. Tomorrow's another day.

Thanks, OP!

Now if I could just get my kit from XM, I would be all set.

Well I tried this tonight and the person I was transferred to said I could not get the promotion until my free three months was over. If it was still in effect at that time then they could apply it to my account. I do have a new GM car.

Just wanted to say that I also love Anandtech. I never would have known about this offer if I didn't come to Anandtech. I bought a 2003 Honda Accord with XM back in December of '03. I paid the 6 month rate of $60 in August. I then called the number to get the special rate. Instead of letting the current term expire, they credited my acocunt $20 and applied it to the $60 for the 1 year promotion. Excellent service.

Cinemagic is awesome. In case anyone cares.
