Renaming user folder after windows repair

I recently performed a windows repair. This created user folder names in the Documents and Settings folder that I'd like to change. I've tried renaming the user folder but Windows simply creates a new user folder with the old name. I need help with making Windows use the folder or folder name that I want. Thanks.
 
You can't change the names of the user folders. Why would you want to change them? If your old files are under a different user then just copy them over (contects of favorites, startup, my documents, etc.

If you want to change the name of the user, do that from User Accounts in the Control Panel.
