Rename Computer

This is prob a stupid question, but here goes.. When I installed Win2k-server it gave me a defalt name for the computer. I dont care for it and wish to change the name.. Can I do that without messing up my dialup connection or other stuff?

1. right click on "my computer"

2. then left click on "properties"

3. go to the "network identification" tab on top

4. click on the "Properties" button


I can't think of anything that will get screwed up by changing your computer's name, unless it is part of a LAN.

Thanks, I knew where to change the name, just wasn't sure if it would mess up any connections.. I would assume by your not saying it would, that it wont harm anything.

btw, how on earth does one graduate from a junior member to normal member dude.
