Removing WinXP multiuser?

Is there anyway to take off the multiple users in WinXP? Its just annoying to me, having all of these "shared folders" and what not. I'm the only one that will use this computer (I'll kill whoever even LOOKS at it in a bad way). Can I at the very least delete all the shared folders and crap without having WinXP re-generate them everytime I restart?

Also, can I delete some of the My Documents subfolders? Like "My Music", "My Pictures", I just hate those folder names and I want them to go bye-bye. Thanks

Just let it be, you won't gain anything and I'm sure XP will just undo whatever you try to change.

If you wanted an OS you could actually control, you wouldn't have installed XP.

I assume you are talking about the "Shared" folders that appear in My Computer/Explorer. If you have TweakUI for XP its very simple to remove them. Look under My Computer/Special Folders. Untick "Files Stored On This Computer"

As for the My Music folder... Stop running Windows Media Player 7, 8 or 9.x as it re-creates it everytime. IF you stilll want to use WMP than just use TweakUI to change the location of the My Music folder somewhere you won't see it 😀 Do the same for My Pictures as well. Or alternatively stop using the My Documents folder.
