Check under administrative tools (depending on which OS you use) for Windows programs Add/Remove

I use Windows XP... and I have checked there, all that is there is:

Windows Media Player Hotfix [see wm 828026 for more imformation]

I have no idea what the wm thing is.... but have considered removing this. I just didn't want to until I knew why it said to see that wm thing. Any ideas?

Can not directly help you - refuse to use XP - registration issue.

In W2K I can use Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Add/Remove Window Components

If your asking about WMP 9 then you can't, even if you get to remove the skin and stuff the Core files cannot be removed without a format.
