Removing Windows Defender

Hey all,

I know it's not really possible to remove Windows Defender completely, and I'm okay with that since I've got it disabled and everything. However, I want to remove all of the defender updates that I've downloaded in the past. Unfortunately, that is proving impossible for me to do, as I can't find them anywhere. They aren't showing up in installed updates, not even the most recent one, and I can't seem to find a list of all of the updates so I can't do it manually. I'm running Windows 7 home. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:

I was able to find the update numbers through update history, but every defender update is listed as kb915597, which is also the one I see in windows update at the moment. I assume they just update that same one regularly and release it again, which is fine. However, it doesn't let me uninstall it, as it says that it is not found on my system even though it shows it as a successful update.

For Windows 7, it can be removed completely including all its reg entries, tasks, and even you won't see it in the Control Panel anymore

Use this tool: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/download/did/1984/

For Windows 8/10 it is heavily integrated into the OS so don't try that uninstaller on them.

As for the updates, I can't answer as Windows Defender is the first thing I disable when I install any OS so I never even got any of its updates.

Just run a Disk Cleanup > System Files and select to cleanup everything including Windows Updates then reboot.

Thanks for the help berryracer, unfortunately the download link on raymond is 404ing.

Any other site with it? Just don't want to download one that is going to screw me over and mess up windows or anything.

I was able to find how to do it manually on raymond.cc. Thank you for your help berryracer, and pointing me in the right direction.
