Removing Window Tint

It is indeed illegal to have tint on the front two windows in Michigan. I wouldn't sweat it too much if I were you though. I did receive a fix-it ticket for 5% limo tint a while back. In that case you just have to remove (use a heat gun and peel it off, clean up residue with warm soapy water) it and have an officer sign off on it. You dont get any fines or anything like that. However, in my experience, the law isn't very strictly enforced. I've since purchased a new car that had already been tinted by the previous owner, mind you its 30% and not 5% blacked out limo tint, but it's still relatively dark, and I've been driving this car for over 4 years now without being stopped for it. Tint laws are silly IMO, they make any car look soo much better.
