Removing Win2k?

Right now I have a non-working version of win2k on a partition (I screwed it up while messing with XP, but thats another story...). I have 2 other partitions before it, one with win98 and the other with xp (which I'm using now). I want to set it up so its just a solid, single boot XP system, no more of this dual boot stuff, I don't use it. I plan on reformatting and combining the first 2 partitions (about 10GB) and use them for the OS (xp) and apps. The rest (about 30 GB) will be used for downloads, documents, games, etc. My question is: how do I uninstall (or just what parts do i delete) Win2K because its just wasting space on that partition, plus I dont want it to try and boot. I plan on doing a clean XP install, so I dont need anything from Win2k, but I do need stuff from that partition (too much to backup w/o wasting a TON of CDs), so I cant format that too. Also, is this a good idea? Is there a better way to do it? Thanks for the help!!!!!

You can very well do accroding to your plan. But for this you must have third party partition utilities like Prtition Magic. Di you have? What type of second partition (Logical or Primary)?, it isn't better to merged second partiton with third or fourth? Leave frist partition intact. You can very well delete all WINDOWS 98 files only

Shuja, thanks for the reply!
My first partition, the 10GB one, is split right now, the first part is FAT32 and primary and the second part is NTFS and extended (new to Partition Magic, so this is kind of weird). WinXp installer made the NTFS one. My 3rd partition is the NTFS one with win2k and is about 30GB. I will leave this one intact. I would probably be fine with not touching win2k files too, as long as it doesnt ever try to boot from that drive and only boots from the first one. I was thinking I could delete the first 2 partitions (funny, partition magic will delete itself 🙂 ) then I'd create a new NTFS partition from this space and install XP on it. I will use it for office and stuff also, as I mentioned before. I hope this is the info you needed. THANKS!!!!
