Removing the top of antec case ...

I don't know if i'm missing anything here. I 'm trying to cut out a blow hole on top of my antec 1240sx case. I can not find any screws or any way of removing the top. How do you remove the top ? I feel like i'm overlooking something here .. please help

I just recently obtained the same case. Huge, ain't it? You need to use a 3/32" or 1/8" drill bit and drill out the rivets on the back and front. Also, there should be one on the side. Hope this helps.

You have to drill out the rivots in order to remove the top panel on all Antec cases I've seen. Drilling them out isn't bad, it's getting it back on with replacement screws.

Since you have to completely remove all components to drill out the rivots, I would recommend just removing all the components and doing the mod with the top panel in place.

Good luck.

Sounds like removing the top is a little harder than i expected ..i've gone ahead and left it on and drilled my blow hole without removing it ..now the tricky part is doing the paint job 🙂 🙂

You guys are modding the case without removing the mobo, drives, cards, etc..?

Please tell me it isn't so. If you are drilling in your case with the guts in it, good luck.

Thoor - Actually, I thought you meant to remove the power supply. I took my case apart as soon as I got it so I (still) haven't had the chance to assemble it completely.
