Removing stickers from car windshield

kind've going a long the same lines. I have some sticky residue left from my County sticker from last year on my windsheild and want to remove it. Any good way to do that?

Use rubbing alcohol or a some kind of cleaner. Saturate the area. Then apply a razor blade (by itself, not a shaving one) at an angle GENTLY. It'll come off, both the sticker and any residue.

This works with non-tinted, non-"special" glass and windows.

Get a hairdryer and heat it up, then a razor scraper. Hope it's no on the lines of the defroster on the rear windsheild

Razor blade, scrape it off.

Finish up with a solvent if necessary (Goo Gone will probably take it off).

As mentioned previously do not use a razor blade on the outside of your rear window, you'll kill your defrost circuits.

I work at the parking department at my school and that s what we recommend.

Heat gun + razor blade. Just be careful around the back window where the rear defroster lines are present on the glass - you don't want to cut through them.

Edit: Ooops. Said the same thing as Zanix.

I saturate stickers with paint thinner, peel them off with my fingers, then use goo gone/90%+ rubbing alcohol for the residue.

I heard to use a solvent or to use a hair dryer so I was wondering what works better.... thanks for the suggestions!

Instead of a solvent, you could purchase some "Goof Off" from Home Depot. This stuff is ideal at removing those stickers.
