Removing Retention mechanism

Well, one idea on the safest way would be to try and break it. The only way I can think of is to take something small with ridges and scrape it against it. Have you contacted Abit?

Posted in their forums, contacted Thermalright (as can bee seen @ their website they removed the retention mechanism in the installation example but there is no guide as to how this was done), tried here, Hard OCP, and etc...
