Removing RealPlayer Menus

Pride yourself on running a lean mean machine, but that damm RealPlayer with the menu entry under the "Start" menu "Search" section is just killing your Elite status, since you just can't figure how to get rid of this.

Fear no more, the solution is here.

In the registry look for all entries named -----> rpshellsearch.dll

Then remove the rpshellsearch.dll out of the realplayer directory, a reboot may be required.

Then last, but certainly not least, to REMOVE them pesky words:

For Internet &Audio/Video...

Look for this key in the registry and remove it:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FindExtensions\Static\RealSearch\0]
@="For Internet &Audio/Video..."

Now you are FREE!

tw1164 you missed the point of the post, which was to help those wanting and using RealPlayer and removing that menu entry.
