I've got Win10 on my PC and tablet now, "up"graded from Win7.
I'll make a separate thread about the tablet's other problem that may have no solution, namely that flicks/swipes no longer work by touching the screen, but instead now require the stylus. I guess we're interfacing like a 15-year-old Palm Pilot now.
The other issue: The Action Center that slides out on the right side can't seem to be disabled or moved.
The problem is that when I move my finger over to the side to use a window's scroll bar, the Action Center almost always slides out and gets in the way.
I've tried all three options on this page.
- The first option there only disables the Action Center icon on the Taskbar.
- 2nd option: Use gpedit.msc to enable the "remove notifications and action center" toggle. No effect.
- 3rd option: Use a registry key to disable the Action Center. No effect.
There's not even a way of moving it to the left side of the screen, where it should be a little less obtrusive.
