Removing links from a Fossil watch...

How do I remove the links from a Fossil watch? My gf gave me one for Christmas and I tried using a needle to push out the little pin but no luck.
 
Just use a paper clip. I will come out just have to use some force, be careful not to bend the pin however.

see, that is why he should take it to a jeweler. he could fudge it up if he doesn't know what he is doing.

 
most newer fossil watches have extra clasps so you don't need to pop pins out. Just "unclasp" the next portion and remove.
