Removing heatspreaders from HyperX memory?

Is there a safe/reccomended way to remove the heatspreaders from DDR RAM, specifically HyperX memory?

Any risks or anything that I should be careful with?

I got a pair of custom black aluminum heatspreaders with LEDs on top (like that of Corsair's). The LEDs aren't connected to the RAM, of course 😀 but they are sound activated.

Veg, thnx ... the last  is for u!

Corsair*?

😉

Its hard... those clips are a PITA to take off... i ended up scratching the heatspreader itself just trying to get something under the clip. Not worth it... unless you like staring inside your computer... and actually looking for your RAM... 😛
