Removing Fan Grids.

HI
I have a Antec sx840 case. The case came with 2 80mm fans and they seem to be quet.
In order to increase the air flow in the case would it help to cut away the metal case grids that are in front of the fans??? And, would that make the case slightly noisier as there is less to block any noise. Another thought I had was to replace the 80mm fans with 92mm Panaflo fans. They move more air and if I remember right are around 26 db for the noise.
Also thought about replacing the Antec pp403 power supply with a enermax 400 plus watt supply. My thoughts are the enermax has a second fan to aid cooling and from a few posts here could be a little quieter.
I am trying to reach a balance of good cooling as well as keeping the case as quiet as possible. I am not going to over clock so I can sacrafice some cooling for quiet!!! 😀

Thanks

yes cutting the metal grids would increase airflow (less restriction)
and no it would not be noiser infact it should be a bit quiter since
unubstructed airflow is quiter than obstructed.
