Removing a Socket A processor from the socket?

This may sound like a stupid question, but it's my first experience dealing with a Socket A, in fact any socket processor, I've always had slot processors up till my T-Bird... Yesterday I went to go to unlock this baby with the pencil trick, and I got the heatsink off and such, and then I tried to pull it out... No go... So I saw a little brown lever sort of attached the the side of the socket, which seemed to be holding something there down... I lifted it up, and I still couldn't pull this thing out... So how do i get it out?

You may have to put a little (emphasis on "a little&quot😉 force on lifting the lever, but it should finally release the CPU so you can pull it out.
