Removing a Linux partition

I have a HDD which is currently in one partition and holding a Linux setup

I wish to reformat this to a Win fat 32 system; the question is how?

A win startup disk will not recognise it so I am unable to use fdsik or format. The Linux [Mandrake] disk has a 'rescue' option but the instructions are far from clear and I have to admit to having forgotten most of the command line options that I knew some years ago.

Any suggestions please.
