While you're at it, can you start flagging all of those xbox 360 repair videos that tell people to purposely overheat it either by running it without fans or wrapping towels around it.

Also, can you get rid of the ones that tell people to use heat guns for reflowing? Thanks!

I dont come across videos like that because Im not looking for them. But if you are serious, telling people to disable their Xboxes by causing them to overheat could be considered "Spams, Scams and Commercially Deceptive Content"....scams being the keyword here.

There is not a section on that particular flag to describe your concerns so if the person who reviews it doesnt catch on, its likely the video will survive. If the title or description say otherwise like "How to get a new Xbox by breaking your old one" or something like that then the video will likely be removed and channel terminated if they have had previous violations or other videos with similar content.

*Important*

You cant flag any video willy nilly. If most of your submissions are ignored you risk being suspended yourself. I dont do it halfheartedly. When I pick a video I make sure its a strong case / slam dunk. While I dont know this for sure, I think the more you correctly flag videos the greater your rep is and therefore suggestions will likely be followed. The opposite is probably also true.

My favorite targets -
#2 TOS (20%) Exposing too much, porn, fetish vids of all types

#3 Other (5%) Harmful and dangerous acts (ex. firebombs, branding, self mutilation, hanging, etc.)

Something about this strikes me as Orwellian in the way you get pleasure out of seeking out things to censor, and how you probably satisfy some sort of repressed baser instinct by watching these videos while you satisfy your Catholic guilt by telling yourself you're doing a "good deed." Am I in the ballpark here?

You're doing the internet a great service OP! Keep on doing it! I tag videos of music which I purchased. I don't want other people to listen/watch it w/o paying for it like I do.

Not sure if serious, but you might be bigger asshole than OP.

Just to increase the signal to noise ratio, I plan on writing a script to create youtube accounts and flag videos endlessly until that account is banned.

One of my hobbies is helping to keep Youtube clean, so I flag videos.

I remove about 600+ videos a week and get 10-30 channels per day 404'd, which could mean several thousand videos per week when a bot channel goes down.

Most of these vids have no views, some have hundreds of thousands. My largest target had 1,100,000 views on one video and was two years old. Subscribers, ratings and comments make no difference. If a website appears in the video or description, its spam and gets zapped. No exceptions.

My favorite targets -

#1 Spam (75%) They use keywords that Im not going to list but they are easy to guess

#2 TOS (20%) Exposing too much, porn, fetish vids of all types

#3 Other (5%) Harmful and dangerous acts (ex. firebombs, branding, self mutilation, hanging, etc.)

Todays biggest takedowns included Bollywood movie clip website - 2 million combined views, 350 subs, Penis enlargement 2000 videos botted which were all exactly the same stupid video (a common propagation tactic), Porn site 1 week old 195,000 combined ... all 404'd.

There was one idiot who posted 10,000+ videos within a few months and was adding several hundred more every other day. He had an Adsense account and monetized them so that was his motivation. He also had a tiny url posted in the description on every vid that led to some website that contained more spam. All ratings and comments were disabled, all were about 4 seconds long, all contained a black backgound and the Devil w/a large pentagram. They all said go to the website in the description. There were more ways he was getting noticed that I wont mention because I hate spammers. I needed help with this one because he was surviving multiple removals, but we had all his videos removed and channel terminated by the third day. ():)

Not your job Son...

Some things that satisfy me...

Seeing an accident on the road, and NOT slowing down to watch

Helping a snake or turtle cross a road

The knowledge that 4chan and Anonymous are creating anarchy in the world

Knowing some embarrassing information about someone, and NOT telling their adversary

and finally, seeing something I don't like on the web, and using my awesomely evolved monkey fingers to see something different,

You should try these sometime.

DO you have a job? How much time do you spend on YouTube each day? How do you find all those videos?

How old are you?

How do you find the time to post on ATOT?

i can not understand why anyone would flag any video let alone many videos
"Moral crusaders."

(Though I would be ok with flagging spammers, preferably with something that can be properly targeted by an orbital pulse laser.)

No offense, but I hate people like you, crusader of righteousness in the war against copyright infringement and disregarders of censorship. Tell ya what though, I'll help you out by continuing to try and persuade people to not post their content to YouTube so your "hobby" is less strenuous.
