Removed "ENUM", and having problems

I went into safe mode, removed enum, shut down the pc, took the hard drive out of the old pc, put it in the new pc that I built, turned the new pc on, windows redetected all of my devices, now I can't get out of safe mode. I turn the pc on, hold down F8, I get the various choices, I choose normal, and it boots back into safe mode.

Can this be repaired?

Thank you for your time.

Perhaps you need to remove a couple of your devices that aren't necissary to boot into your computer and load windows(can't tell because you don't list your rig) One of your device drivers is not playing nice with the others(video?)

You removed Enum, which is fine. But have you checked "msconfig.exe" while in safe mode to see what drivers are loading up? Chances are you have something related to an old video card that you're not using on the new machine, for example, or some other driver for a piece of hardware that you're no longer using. Go into msconfig.exe and uncheck everything except for Explorer.exe and systray.exe. See how it boots up then.

Also, check Device Manager and see if you have any yellow exclamation points on any hardware device.

Reseat any and all cables/cards in your new pc to make sure they're all snug.

Not to sound silly but are you sure you are in safe mode .. does it say safe mode in all four corners. Possibly the drivers are just not installed and you are running in 16 colors 640x480 and only need to install video drivers since you took out the enum it has to redetect the drivers. If this is a new machine it needs to be told what driver to use for some specific devices

Good idea Slikkster. I wouldn't have thought of that possiblity. I've never had a problem, but hopefully will remember that.

BTW, when I do it, I always make sure and disable at least NAV from startup before I clone to a new drive. I try to keep most everything from starting up. I know this isn't a clone, but, I'd probably do it even moving to another mobo.
