Remove word from spellcheck dictionary

Is there any way to take a word out of the spellcheck dictionary? (Not a custom word that I accidentally added, but an honest to god word.)

For example, I want to take the word "damn" out so that people don't put it instead of "dam" etc.

That's not helpful for non-custom words- another example: pubic vs public. Though it's a word, I doubt anyone in my office intended to discuss pubic policy.
