No, he doesn't charge as much as I do.

On the contrary, he paid for his video cards for getting a blowjob.

I have a blog-type site and some of the members have links in their posts to a certain newspaper.
This newspaper contacted me and said in no uncertain terms that we were not given permission to link to their site. The gave me the phone/email of their legal counsel if I would have any further questions.
This kind of sucks.

It's not against the law to link to someone. There's really nothing they can do to you.

Even better, post the letter on your blog along with the link and see if you can get it on Digg or whatever that site is.![]()

Are you hotlinking to images, or linking to articles that are in a subscription section of their site?

I thought about that but they (the newspaper) included a confidentiality clause in their note to me:

I have done a little searching and it appears that Australia might/has made it illegal to link to other content if the other content provider requests not to be linked.
Maybe the U.S. is moving in this direction.

Yea pulse is right. All web content is public domain, as long as the original site/author is credited for the content. In this case, a link to a page fulfills this obligation, and is almost always in the site's favor.

I don't think they care about other links to them besides mine. On my site, people make comments about the articles in the newspaper.
