Sure, got $25.00? and a $10.00 tip for RossMAN?

Sonz70?

No, he doesn't charge as much as I do.

On the contrary, he paid for his video cards for getting a blowjob.

This newspaper contacted me and said in no uncertain terms that we were not given permission to link to their site. The gave me the phone/email of their legal counsel if I would have any further questions.

This kind of sucks.

if you're in the US, you dont have to remove it.

isn't it a 'freedom of speech' issue? there was some big case recently, where someone won the right to link to another site despite the site's objections

It is just a blog about the town I live in.

I think the reason they (the newspaper) are upset is that people are using my site to discuss local matters instead of the newspaper's site which has a semi-blog (post comments to articles).

I have done a little searching and it appears that Australia might/has made it illegal to link to other content if the other content provider requests not to be linked.

Maybe the U.S. is moving in this direction.

I thought about that but they (the newspaper) included a confidentiality clause in their note to me:

I'm linking to articles in the non-subscription section of their site. It is not possible to link to the actual articles in the subscription portion of the newspaper site.

I don't think they care about other links to them besides mine. On my site, people make comments about the articles in the newspaper.

I'm not interested in causing more trouble with them.

I was already prohibited from posting ads in their newspaper for my website.

I seriously doubt it. It's the backbone of the internet.

Yea pulse is right. All web content is public domain, as long as the original site/author is credited for the content. In this case, a link to a page fulfills this obligation, and is almost always in the site's favor.

Are you saying I could cut and paste the text of the article(s) into my site as long as gave credit to the author and newspaper? Certainly not.

Ask youtube.com, that doesn't quite cut it.

plain and simple they want the ability to moderate over the discussions taking place. tell em to ****** off.
