Remove embedded Service Pack 1a

Anyone know how to successfully accomplish this? This is removing embedded SP1a, not installed SP1a from windows updates, it was physically on the XP disk when he bought it, and I have no idea how to remove, which is very frustrating. HELP

You need to reformat and reinstall windows from a CD which doesn't have the service pack integrated.

However, you do not want to do this. There is little performance difference between service packs. In fact, you should install SP2 ASAP. The only situation in which I wouldn't install SP2, was if this computer had no modem or internet access, and was not used for games or business.
