Probably an easy question... but, dumb questions are the ones that are not asked
I have a computer back at home connected to the internet via a router. On this computer, I forwarded the remote desktop port and the other necessary port (default was 80, I renumbered it for partial security). Suppose my computer name is AZURIK, my LOG ON name is USER1 and I got my IP address in hand.
When I get to the other computer, I click on remote desktop, and put down:
Computer: (my IP address)
User Name: USER1
Password: (my USER1 password)
...and then I hit connect and nothing. It says client could not connect to the remote computer. Please try again later.
Is there something I DIDN'T do? I already went to system properties to checkbox "allow users to connect remotely to this computer". I didn't select specific remote users, left it blank, but I don't think that is the problem since this account I'm trying to get on to is the administrator.
