how do i set up remote desktop so i can play games on my computer at home from work?
how do i distinguish between different computers on my home network?

if that is all you want to do, you can set up orb or shoutcast or something

thats not all i want to do
ive got alot of programs on my computer that i'd like to use from work

To all of you music lovers.

There is a Wonderful Free small program that can work of a USB Flash drive, or can be put on the hard drive and used with no real Installation or Registry traces.

The whole thing is less than 400MB: http://support.xmplay.com/

So you do not need to stream low quality audio thought the Internet (or network) and take a lot of useful bandwidth and local resources.

You can copy mp3/wma whatever together with the program onto a flash drive (512MB goes these days for $25) and take days of music on one little drive, or you can stream the music files through web drive or whatever else you can use through the Internet.

No. VNC only transmits video. What you can do is connect to your PC via VNC and control a media player which transmits over Shoutcast (or something similiar).

I would recommend using Winamp. Im actually a fan of Jetcast. There are other broadcast plugins out there. I dont have any experience with any of them though.
