Remote Desktop Question...

i have 2 machines both running xp pro. computer b can connect to computer a, but computer a cannot connect to compute b, i get a error "remote policy of the computer does not permit you to logon interactively" what is this?

Thought Remote Desktop and VNC though both are Conceptually Remote Control there is a big difference in they way it is actually working

Remote Desktop is very Good and has it usage but it is more complicated and has much more affect on the OS and the Network than a usage of a simple small VNC program (like Ultra@VNC) that has no impact on the OS or the Network..

My ?Rule? is that I can do what I need to do with VNC, I leave Remote Desktop off.

FYI, you're getting that error because the account you're trying to use to login to computer b is not an adminstrator account. There are two ways around this:

1.) Make it an administrator account through Manage->User Accounts
2.) Add the username to the allowed users through My computer->Properties->Remote->Select Remote Users

the account is an admin and it is also in the allowed users... i can't figure it out...

My only other thought would be that you've got it disabled in your Security Policy somewhere....

Does the default admin account work?
