Remote Car Starters

Can anyone recommend any remote car starters. I am looking to put one in my two cars before the winter really sets in?

how can u put one in two cars 😛 i have a viper.....also you should get a remote that can hold 2 signals so u dont have to switch remotes, just flip a switch on the remote to use it for another car, it probably standard by now anyway

they prettymuch all work the same...if u can go factory equipment thats the preferable route to most but otherwise I've seen $20 kits from walmart work just as well and easy to self install as any of the $100 BB/CC "kits"

I have a Valet system that was installed at the local Best Buy. Works like a champ. Just remember to set the heat before you leave the car for the night and your all set.

does starting the car automatically put any type of pressure on the engine? and also since you leave the heat on does that do other pressure on the engine.
i usually turn the car on give it about 1 minute and then turn the heat or i wait for it to heat up a little.

also are the cheap 20 dollar kits easy to install and do the doors stay locked?

starting the car auto is no different than starting the car up manual as far as i can tell...its going through the same process and everything of sending a signal to the ignition and causing the engine to turn over. The heater on thing shouldn't be that much of an issue, the heater core is usually warmed by your cars engine anyways so it heats up as engine heats up. I personally wouldn't leave a car parked for 5-10 minutes with the engine running and heater on just idling though cause you are just wasting gas and getting in it and driving off will warm it up faster i think (my car at least).
$20 kits arent too bad to isntall but definately takes a little knowledge and willingness to look at your cars wiring system and understand how its going to work. you can usually enable/disable auto door locks based on wiring combinations too.

you are right about the thing about leaving the car parked for 5-10 minutes since you waste gas, but hell in winter time you have to if you want the car nice and warm when its 10 degrees outside.
