The atmosphere at SNL is much more relaxed than, say, a comedy movie set or the stage at the local comedy club. I honestly have not laughed that hard watching an SNL skit since the OLD episodes with Dan and Bill.

I mean, they're comedians...they should be able to keep a straight face while delivering punchlines. If they can't even do that, and start laffing at their own jokes, their skit definately isn't funnay. Just my .02cents
i'm going to respectfully disagree somewhat there. That makes it seem a little bit funnier to me, not if this happened on every skit of course, but in this case it made it seem more amusing.

eh, i've seen em crack up in an old eps rerun too
apparently they try to do this to each other.
OMG, the Debbie Downer skit had me rolling on the floor; definitely an excellent skit. I normally would agree that as actors, they should have more control, but it WAS a live skit (well, almost live), and given the situation I'm not sure I could've faulted them for laughing.
