Reminder: for Sci-Fi Fans

The fifth (and final) season of Showtime's "Stargate SG-1" begins at 10:00 PM (Eastern & Pacific) tonight, with a new episode that picks up where last season's cliffhanger left off -- i.e. Jack, Daniel, Sam, and Sam's father are 125 years away from home, Apophis' ship is devouring their ship, and Teal'c is possibly dead. Whew.

I've always liked this show, and hearing that this season will be the last was almost like losing a friend. Like much of the best science fiction, it is, at its most basic, a story about people, not just about things blowing up and bad monsters from outer space. And I will miss these people when they go.

I never watched the show, but they should have at least used different characters that the ones in the movie. Oneal, Daniel, that's Kurt Russel and Jimmy Spader, not Macgyver and some no name.

well they are like 3 seasons behind on the FOX reruns, so I've got some time before I have to face the end.
