Though it has already aired in the ET, for everyone on the west don't forget to tune in and get your final dose of truthiness while you can!😱

Off the top of my head, he's the best (American, likely any country) political satirist of the television era.

You have to go back to writers before television for competition.

And really, even someone like Will Rogers, seems not nearly as good as Colbert. Jon Stewart of course has great comedy political bits, but they're not as purely satire.

Nice farewell. Going to keep it recorded on my DVR. That opens up my 11:30pm viewing slot... Craig Ferguson signs off tonight, which will open up my 12:30 to 1:30 slot.

Hope Colbert keeps most of his staff when he moves to CBS.

I don't see him doing very well in the move, since he isn't going to do what made him famous in the first place.
I think he is going down the same path as Chevy Chase...

I hope he'll still be funny, but when you have to spend at least half the show talking with boring celebs about their new terrible movie..

The difference between Colbert and Letterman is that Colbert is funny, and certainly wittier.

His interviews should be stellar, at least.

yes, it's a good thing that conservative satire/humor offers real competition....

Are you implying that all those chain mails don't count?

I'm not much of a TV watcher so I've only caught a handful of his shows over the years, but if he keeps his quality up I'm sure I'll enjoy seeing him in his new slot.

Colbert will have a far bigger audience and salary. I'm concerned about the new show, but think he might be just fine. I'll miss the political topics being what the show is about.

Yeah, he's not going to lose his wit on Late Night. His improv training really makes him great with interviews.

Who the fvck said anything about conservative or liberal or any of that? I just think Colbert sucks. I forgot he was going to replace Letterman. I was hoping he wasn't going to be on TV at all.

Shit he don't even know how to pronounce his own frickin name. And yes I know the story.... he was raised here on James Island SC...

So go screw...
