Just wondering what your schedules all looked like. My senior year is an udder waste of time.

Period 1 - Senior English. We make jokes with the teacher all hour, read novels occasionally.
Period 2 - Im An Aide for an old smoke-a-holic teacher. A lot of friends are in that hour with me, we just play around on the techie lappy. My friend is a skool tech.
Period 3 - Ceramics. ROFL thats right! I make pretty pottery and other crap from clay!
Period 4 - Photography. We watch movies in there every day. We do roughly 2 hours of work per quarter.
Period 5 - Economics. This teacher kicks ass. he knows in the only kid in the class with intelligence slightly higher than that of the average 4 year old. He lets me leave early, all I have to do is ask to go the counselor. *cough, cough* He reads us his email spam.

I feel like Ive wasted 5 hours a day for the last 9 months of my life. How about you guys?

My high school years are a blur (class of '90). I did very well in school, though, despite my "extra-curricular" activities. ;)

Edit: What's "AP"?

Well i got out of the hellhole last year and i was struggling, hard. I had majorly slacked off with the frosh years and junior so i had a horrible 7 classes senior year and barely made it out alive. lol. Then it hit me at the very end of the year to just relax and that didnt help me at all either......

Advanced Placement, you get College Credit if you pass a test at the end of the course. It was also worth a 6.0 for an A in your GPA :D

I managed to get myself excused from half my classes senior year so I only went to class until 11am. LOL, meanwhile the rest of the suckers labored on until 3pm. :D

Oh. We had "Honors" classes and "GT" classes (Gifted and Talented). I don't remember AP classes, though. I took some honors classes (the science stuff), but no GT classes.

An udder waste of time? Were you doing something with cows? ;)

My last semester of senior year was pretty laid back. I only had five classes, instead of the normal six, and most of them were really easy for me. Damn, high school, that reminds me, I'm not far off from my 10 year reunion, (class of 94) damn the time flies. :frown:

i'm only in grade 11 right now but i have the schedule for next year:
the system for my school is arranged into 8 blocks and 2 semesters for a total of 16 blocks but each day from monday to thursday has 5 classes and friday has 4 classes. if a class takes 2 blocks, it is 5 credits, if it takes 1 block then it is 3 credits. instead of saying the day to day schedule, here is the block arrangement:
Block1: Math30 (normal grade 12 math)
Block2: Math30
Block3: Math31 (advances calculus)
Block4: Math31
Block5: Social30 (history studies mixed with government and things like that. political stuff)
Block6: Social30
Block7: English30 (normal english)
Block8: English30
Block9: Physics30 AC (accelerated grade12 physics)
Block10: Physics30 AC
Block11: Chemistry30 AC (accelerated grade12 chemistry)
Block12: Chemistry30 AC
Block13: computer programming20 (grade11 programming but i skipped too many classes last year so they would not let me in)
Block14: computer programming30 (grade12 programming, this is the second semester and programming20 is first semester)
Block15: spare
Block16: spare

My senior year:

First semester-

1. Chem AP (did 0 work but teacher was cool and I soldiered a mod-chip to his PSX and copied him about 15 games)
2. English GT(wrote 1 paper, passed out in class most of the time)
3. Algebra 3 (Tested into Calc 2(AP), went to class the first day and said "if I remember the stuff on the first page I'll stay." Got my book, looked at it, and walked out of the class. Knew everything in algebra 3 the second I walked into that class (needed another math for some stupid reason), worked out a deal with the teacher that if I showed up for the monthly test I didn't have to come to class any other days)
4. Work release

I left school every day around 11:30 :D

Second semester-
1. Tech magnet stuff (special program for people who knew what they wanted to do in life, mainly writing the final paper for the 3 year program, not really an actual sit-down class.)
2. Tech magnet stuff
3. Work release
4. Work release

If I showed up at school it was once a week maybe, usually monday to report on the progress of my Tech magnet massive paper that I was writing.

Senior year was a blast :D Especially since a group of us all had the same schedule.

this year for me totaly sucks, i'm in a Catholic school because they are a lot cleaner than the public schools and they pay more so they have better teachers........i'm failing religion. HOLY CRAP RELIGION IS HARD!!!!!! check out these marks and see what kind of person i am:
Chemistry 95%
Physics 87%
Math 74%
Social 69%
English 46% (and i do all the work! i am actually trying yet i still fail!)
Religion 0% (when they assign work i just get out my C++ programming manual and start reading, the teacher doesn't care)

i'm gonna have to apply for a deploma from the government of Alberta because you can't get one from a Catholic school without passing religion lol.

I can remember back to my senior year and boy did I spend a lot of time on school work for nothing. Basically I could have graduated after my junior year, but I didn't want to leave early. Plus, I wasn't going to a private school after I graduated so only I need was a 2.0 and a diploma. All I can remember was making the largest bubblegum rapper chain in the world in periods 1-7 and making a lot of stupid games on my TI-85. Then after school it was sports and then I came home and messed around the rest of the day. The most ironic part of HS are the students that spent so much time making the grades and now they are married and have kids, but did not get past the first year of college. The only thing that I regret was the developement of my study skills for college. That was the hardest thing to correct my freshman year of college.
