Remember those mid-90's songs?

Spooner

Lifer
I'm on like a mid-90's song kick.

some examples:

Refreshments - Banditos
Silverchair - Tomorrow
Gin Blossoms - Hey Jealousy
Soul Asylum - Runaway Train
Tracy Bonham - Mother Mother

What are your favorites?

<< Refreshments - Banditos >>

Was this the song with the chorus: "Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people..."?

If so... time do download and remember.

Soul Asylum's Runaway Train is still one of my favorite songs. And it's not quite mid-90's (1992) but Blind Melon's No Rain is another classic.

Spacehog!!! That's the exact timeframe I'm talking about.

Eels - Novacaine for the Soul
Superdrag - Sucked Out
Oasis - Wonderwall

That is a great album, BTW. Something you can't say about most of the other artists that have been mentioned thus far.

Also

Belly - Feed the Tree
Juliana Hatfield 3 - My Sister (off of Become What You Are, another great album).

Bittersweet Symphony - some band not even worth remembering
Gangsters Paradice - Coolio
Gin and Juice - Snoop Dog
Rollercoaster - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Under the Bridge - RHCP
Been Caught Stealing - Janes Addiction
Sunblock/sunscrean whatever it's called

Local H - Born To Be Down
Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars and Charlie Brown's Parents
Nixons - Sister and Wire
Candlebox - Far Behind (The whole album is great.)
Mad Season - River Of Deceit

<< What about Presidents of the United States of America. they were pretty cool >>

Yup!

Wallflowers - 6th Avenue Heartache

And some bands that are still around, but got their start in that time:

Dave Matthews Band - What Would You Say?
Matchbox 20 - Long Day

For me it was a good time for music. I miss a lot of those songs. 🙂

You guys are kickin ass here. Can't wait to get home and downlo--- errr.. buy the cds 😉

pulse8 your list is great!

Alanis Morisette - You Oughtta Know (? something like that)

Almost all these songs are from 1995 and 1996 I think. I lived in Oregon for a year and a half (3-1995 9-1996) then moved back to Alaska. There was an AWESOME radio station in Eugene called KNRQ - New Rock. It was all Alternative rock. All these songs take me back to Oregon in my mid-twenties. Miss those times, sometimes. Didn't know a damn thing.

Probably will say the same thing about the "now", 7 years hence.

S'more...

Poe - Angry Johnny
Blues Taveller - Run Around
311 - Down
Cake - Going the Distance
Lenny Kravitz - It Ain't Over Til It's Over
Sublime - What I Got
Shaggy - Mr. Boombastic

Check out the MTV Buzz Bin CDs

I can't believe I forgot Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth

my FAVORITE song of the 90's 🙂

<< Gawd! All the music listed here sucks!

What an excellent contribution to the thread! Thanks amish!

You could've at least listed something "better" to back it up.
