Durham police arrested Duke lacrosse accuser Crystal Gale Mangum, 33, late Wednesday after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend, set his clothes on fire in a bathtub and threatened to stab him.

Authorities charged her with attempted first-degree murder, five counts of arson, assault and battery, communicating threats, three counts of misdemeanor child abuse, injury to personal property, identity theft and resisting a public officer.

5 counts of arson? WTF? Are they charging her with one count for every article of clothes that she set on fire or something? Shirt, pants, underwear and two socks...

And to think, people that set forest fires only get charged with one count even though countless millions blades of grass and potentially thousands of trees get smoked.

calm down dude, OP does have show the entire story, there was also "misdemeanor child abuse" and "identity theft" which means the charges were not only for what she did that night.

Doubtful. It'll get plead down in court. Sort of like DWIs where they have 4 counts of passing a stop sign, 5 counts of speeding, etc.
