Remember that picture of that HUGE spider behind the clock from a few years ago?

That thing is frickin' huge. Last time I saw a spider that big was on the Big Island in Hawaii. It made a web about 12' across in the atrium of my hotel. I swear it was gunning for sparrows and small children.

Pics of said 12' spider?

He said the spider web was that wide.

Some people can't read apparently

That's not the Brown Recluse is it? The one that can really seriously poison you with their venom?

If it is, I don't know about re-releasing it if that's such a good idea. Otherwise I guess it's ok to let it go.

Luckily where I live there's an influx of birds and lizards so insects aren't that much of a problem, although Mosquitos never die.

brown recluse is really small

i wonder what bird ran off with 3 spider legs?

brown recluse on a quarter

you call that a spider...come to Australia and you will see some REAL spiders😉

You guys have a lot of scary crap down there. Watching the Discovery Channel makes me want to rename your country the Isle of Death. 😛

Great White Sharks
Irukandji Jellyfish
Box Jellyfish
Crocs
Snakes
Banana, Red Back & Funel Web Spiders
Jumping Jack ants

And for some reason I want to go there.

Hahaha, reminds of The Last Continent by Terry Pratchett

I forget the actual quotes and I can't find them online but I'll describe them.

Its technically about Australia but Terry says something in the beginning stating that it isn't about Australia but goes on to make Australian-like comments.

Anyway, at one point DEATH is in his library and asks for books about the dangerous animals of the continent called XXXX (or Fourecks). A few thousand books land on top of him and he grabs one and its called something like "Dangerous birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, crustaceans (and about 5 other types of animals) Vol. 29c 3rd edition." so he says maybe he should have asked for books on non-dangerous animals. Nothing happens for a little while and finally one sheet of paper floats down and he reads it. All it says is "Some of the sheep".

That book is probably one of the funniest ones he wrote. I  Discworld!

He now lives in the tree in my backyard. The onyl thing that kind of freaks me out, what if he fell on my head while I was mowing the grass 😱

Yeah, I got bit by a Brown Recluse as a Middle Schooler (there are tiny about the size of a dime). I didn't realize that was what it was, and I decided to sleep through the night it and go to school the next day, by the time I decided to go to the school nurse, my left arm was bright red (the only reason I did go was because I had to play my violin and it felt like someone was lightmatches and snuffing them out on my hand). The nurse told my dad to get me to a hospital and they said if I had gone any later skin would have started to peel off. They put me on an IV drip for two days.

I got teased up to High School about being a wussy and going o the hospital for a bug bite. Bunch of tards.
