Yeah I had no doubt as to the authenticity of the pics. The guys who are designing the STALKER game travelled there to take pics for textures and stuff.

I've watched a few things on reactor accidents. The most recent was a show on Three Mile Island. A good chunk of it was the differences between TMI and Chernobyl, and a large part on the efforts to contain Chernobyl. Seeing hundreds of firemen and soldiers on the ground standing right next to the core. Helicopters hovering directly over the exposed core dropping flame retardents straight into it. Sad stuff

The TMI incident was pretty scary as well, didn't know it was that bad. One part talked about one of the guys draining some of the coolant and checking the radioactivity, and when it was emptied into a beaker, it was vibrating from the radiation :Q
