Does anyone remember Pioneer Chicken from the 80's?
They were the only competition KFC had back then. I loved
their dark golden oily batter...yummy.

Anyhow, I thought all of them were bought out by Popeyes chicken
in the early 90's. Popeyes sucks in comparison.

Well there is at least one Pioneer Chicken still in existence! It is in

I remember Pioneer Chicken used to have this wagon with a dude riding in it holding a platter of fried chicken.

There's a pretty good strip club about a block away from there.
