Ok here is what happens:

- the computer starts, but no screen (do it again, and after a few times it works)

- it stalls all the sudden when starting windows 2000 (when you are prompted to enter F8 for save mode)

- it stalls within windows, without any reason (no difficult actions going on)


My computer is not overclocked, Ram runs at 100MHz and the CPU is set to 1000 (as it is) MHz...

My board is a Iwill KK266-r Rev. 1.2

I don't know what that could be, but it does not look like a software problem, since I did everything new,,,
 
Also I would be interested, what happens, when the contact between the bridges is not vertified?

Even that I run a multiplier of 10x, with a 1GHz penceled T-Bird, those failtures appear, can that theoretical be? Or should it do 1GHz even when only 2 or 3 bridges are connected...???

Does anybody have experiences, with athlons, that are repenceled, and connections have been lost?

The pencil trick is wonderful for ghetto overclocking. The only unfortunate thing is when you do this, most people don't protect the pencil markings at all, so when they install their HSF on it, the air from the fan will gradually blow the pencil stuff away and your bridges will be intermittant, which could foke up your system and make it flaky. I pencilled my 1GHz T-Bird and i ended up having all sorts of system instability, etc. I replaced the bridges using a silver pen and it hasn't failed me in 6 months. Also, I am wondering what the resistance of the graphite is and what effect it has on overclocking.

If you can't easily find a conductive pen go to the auto parts store adn pick up a rear window defroster kit. It is like 6 or 7 bucks and works great.
 
It wouldn't hurt to re-pencil the bridges and reapply artic silver while you're at it. I always use a graphite pencil with an HB rating. When I unlock the L1 bridges I go over them 5-10 times each. I have unlocked at least 15 cpu's this way and have never had to redo any of them.
The heatsink itself covers the entire cpu, so I don't think the fan blowing away the graphite is an issue.
