i saw it as joke, but you're obviously on touchy ground. this matter on hand is very sensitive and you don't really want to go around making fun of the situation when it hasn't settled down yet.

what i said truly was a harmless joke...if there is any finger pointing to be going on it should be at notfred himself....most likely posting what he has won't affect the outcome but shouldn't he have told a bunch of internet peeps this info AFTER the cops had reached a resolution? He basically asked for an internet a-hat to send that guy an email or two...

Since there is only ONE existing person that I would call my wife, I would imagine it would be pretty easy to tell. I've read the entire thread so I understand where you're coming from. Though I'm not dismissing the possibilty of it not being your stuff without more evidence.

He obviously feels that the stuff in the picture is similar enough to what was in his car that it merits further investigation. What do you think notFred should do, just forget about it?

I don't think you understand this situation. This was not a car I bought and then sold a year later without ever opening the hood. I built the motor for this car myself, by hand. Every bolt, every hose, every part I put in myself. I'm just as sure that the car in that picture is mine as you would be that a picture was in fact your wife.

I was made aware of that situation after my stuff was stolen. Perhaps I would have just drove it home and spread shattered glass around and then called the police to file a claim. Unfortunately it was done at work and I am a semi honest person

Nah, he shouldnt be banned. The constant ridicule and insulting towards him should be enough. The ban train always wants to take off so early...internet forums remind me of a study on mob mentality I once read

Yeah, I would love to see some pictures of the clowns who call me an idiot when they are the ones living in their parents basement taking 3 credits at the local CC and getting married in everquest.
 
I got the serial number for the blower. I don't have any paperwork anymore, but I was able to call a place that rebuilt the blower in the summer of 2001. I asked if they kept records of everything, and they were able to look up the serial number of my blower from thier customer database. 🙂

I didn't find the auction with notfred's part, but some of the other auctions for mustang superchargers had really high hitcounts (1500+) from ATOTers looking for it too. I doubt the guy will figure out what's going on.
