Of course we would never ignore an asset like that, if they volunteered, or if they were asked and they agreed. It would be foolish not to use his background information. Recruitment of assets is a continuous process and is alot of what an "operative" does.

While I share your opinion of Trump, I am doubtful of this particular theory. Kim Jong Nam was assassinated in Malaysia on 2/13/17. Trump had only been in office a little over 3 weeks then. He didn't have any formal contact with KJU during that time. That would not happen for months. And it isn't clear Trump even learned of the CIA affiliation in the first few weeks he was in office. He didn't really get much out of intelligence briefings then or now.

It's not that I'd put anything past Trump. It's just that the timing is shaky here. He would have to first, become aware of the information in his earliest days as POTUS, then leak the information to KJU through back channels in those first few weeks. Somehow I just doubt it.

Still think is it possible. Once a candidate wins the election they start getting security briefings. NK is in the top 3 on list of concerns. Trump could have been informed of the CIA contact. At that time it was not known Trump would give away secrets. That gave Trump 3.5 months to spill the beans. Today the CIA would not give Trump that info because he endangers operatives in the field.

I'm wondering why the information was leaked at this time. I don't think it was driven by the Trump admin, and perhaps it's the IC leaking something to try and expose Trump.

As for your theory...well...I'm somewhat conflicted as that's a pretty explosive thing to put out there without any real evidence. But I don't feel that way. It reminds me of the Khashoggi killing, which I also wonder if somehow was motivated by information the admin provided. Certainly Trump & co. jumped through hoops to ensure the relationship with MBS wouldn't be harmed afterward.
 
Lawrence O'Donnell compared this to Kennedy going on TV and promising Castro he wouldn't use his family to spy on him. He would've been impeached in a week, no question.

Well, Kushner directly fed a bunch of names to MBS, prior to the inauguration, regarding "questionables" within the Saudi Royal family and empire. Every single one of these individuals were summarily executed by MBS as he stepped over his cousin and into power.

This is absolutely something that we know the Trump family does. Kushner, especially, owes a life debt to the Saudis for paying off his astronomical "great businessing!" debts, and it really doesn't matter how much blood is on his hands. Yemen is a war made possible by Jared Kushner. I also absolutely guarantee that the plans to murder Kashoggi murder were passed before Kushner, if not also Trump, to gauge their response after the crime would occur.

Honestly, when the firing lines are drawn for war crimes in Yemen and general crimes against humanity, The Kushners need to be ~2nd in line.

Were they really all executed? I recall hearing how one family member died in custody...the others were under house arrest at the Four Seasons or some other grand hotel—but that was nearly 2 years ago.
